am i being out of order? grrrrr!

Right me and OH just had an argument and I wanna know if I'm being out of order.

All day he's at work then comes home and we get Jack settled then have tea and stuff. By the time we sit down together its normally about 9

Anyway my problem is his best mate alwaysssss bloody texts him, about football or some other stupid rubbish. He works with him allll day. they prob see each other more than me and OH see each other So I have a problem with this, I think our time should be just for us. I don't sit texting my friends whilst were cuddling up. I just think it's damn well rude. He thinks I'm over reacting and obviously won't change cos he doesn't see what the problem is

Am I being out of order??

I totally agree with you.. your time together should be exaclty that YOUR time... if they are with each other all day what the hell do they have to talk about after work

if its the odd text throughout the night, I don't see the problem. But yeah, if he's sat there all night texting away then yes that's annoying
When my mate comes to visit he spends alot of time texting his girlfriend and sometimes it really annoys me

if its the odd text i wouldnt see the problem, but if its enough that thats where all his attention is then id agree with you. hate when people do it with me, so i usually ignore my phone if im with someone - which is hard as the bloody thing goes every 2 minutes lol

I have the same trouble with my partner. He even goes round there most nights straight after work and doesn't come home till about 3am some days. I only work 12 hours a week though and hes a full timer so I suppose I cant complain really as he does need time to go and enjoy himself. It does get rather lonely at times though.

I would say odd texts are fine, but constant texts would piss me off. I'd take his phone away if that was the case

sorry i didn't reply.

we had the same problem but with msn and we decided to keep off the computers during the evenings as we never spent time together properly. im only on cos its wednesday night and hes at band practice

I am afraid I am VERY old school re mobiles; I find the damn things invasive beyond all belief. I use texting rarely and usually only when I am going to be late, something serious has happened..etc. I would not allow my phone to interrupt my relationship, I turn it off when I am at home, pick up messages the next day. If it is urgent, people can use the land line. I also turn it off if I am in a restaurant, at a meeting, with friends, etc, but as I say, thats just me - a dinosaur!
