Almost 6 weeks..back pain at night time!

Just wanted to know if anyone is experiencing the same as me....
Nearly every night this week I had this deep sharp pain in my back down my right hand side.... its so uncomfortable that i cant get any sleep!!

Just want to know if it was a common pregnancy sympton or something else.....

ive had the odd sharp cramp but its never lasted long or been too bad

recently when I lay down my lower back feels like it is going to explode!! Never had this before so I am assuming yes it is. My mum is a nurse and midwife and she said back pain is common ( she is getting sick of my questions already hehe ) Try getting your OH to give you a nice massage, baby will like it too

I'm getting this right now! I'm at 6 weeks, and my back pain, on the right hand side, started today. its awful isn't it? I just can't get comfortable! I've been reading lot's though, as I was worried at first, but it sounds like it's very normal. I'm just trying to find ways to make it easier to deal with, tried massage which soothed it a little, but as soon as we stopped, it was just as bad as before! I hope yours eases soon x x

lol i have a spasmy back anyway, fell a few years back and it aches on and off so i didnt think it would be anything to do with being pg tho now everyone is saying they have it i might think again lol

I had a better night sleep last night thanxfully, but I know this is not the end of it.....! was reading elsewhere on the Internet to find out why I was getting a sore back...apparently the ligaments soften during pregnancy to allow the uterus to grow so im guessing this might be the cause!

I have a bad back anyway but yeah I've been getting this at night too! Massage only helps while other half is rubbing but after hurts again.. Urgh!
