ahh how do you decide lol

as title says how on earth do you pick a name lol
how have the rest of you made that final decision?

I always wanted Calum in babys name cause my Papas Malcolm and uncles middle name is Calum.

We both really liked Ben and Charlie too, Ben is my Mum and my stepdads fave name aswell So we decided on Calum Ben Murphy

It is really difficult though lol! Have you any ideas hun?

For my son we went through the alphabet 1 name each for each letter untill we agreed on a name we liked. Tyler was the only name we both liked.
With my girl we got a name book and wrote a list each of names we liked then compared the list and paige was on both our lists so that was it.
Don't know what to do for this one though.

I think you start off really vague and it takes ages....then I wrote a list of names I quite liked and would consider, not that easy as there are so few boys names I really liked and me and hubby have very different ideas...you find some names you like but you just can't imagine it as your son or daughters name, some you like but partner really hates....we finally narrowed it down to two...one I liked and would happily live with, but the other I loved so went with my heart. Decision made...simples!! lol xx

i never actually decided that my son would be called bayley, it was just an option but i had such a bad birth and wasnt around all day but by the time i had come round my oh had told EVERYONE that we had a son called bayley devon. My nan did the same to my aunt, her choices were abigail and amelia she hadnt chosen within 2 hours of the birth and my nan was itching to tell people so she just started telling people it was abigail hope(they hadnt even chosen a middle name at the time!!!) so thats what they went with!

We're still trying to decide. We have a short list of names, but I'm worried that he won't look like the name we've picked. So we've decided to hang on until he's here to see which name he actually suits.

I've found picking boys names really hard. I've got 100's of lovely girls names picked out in my head!

We played the credits game. After a film my husband would stand by the TV with his finger on the screen. Id take my glasses off so i couldnt see and then randomly shout "stop". We came up with loads of names like that until we watched the credits after the inbetweeners and stopped on Neil's real name - Blake Harrison. Harrison was also a name we liked so thought "yeah I'm having that!".
