So recently maybe the last 8months I started to get period pains starting straight after I ovulate. It continues till maybe 11dpo than around 14dpo I get my period. I am just wondering if this indicates a problem. Anyone gets period cramps like this? They are no painful like proper af pains but enough to pay attention. And they are right down around my ovaries. Sometimes they feel very low.

Also as I get these pains I just know straight away I am not pregnant. I have this feeling something isn’t right with my hormones ...

I've had this but my first month of it... been cramping since 4dpo now 10/11dpo.
Weird huh!

Yes I am still cramping and it’s nearly 10dpo for me. I am not pregnant because these are exact pains I get when af is coming. My GP also said it could be because of my endo as well.

I have something like that. My doc has recently put me on progesterone for a luteal phase defect/low progesterone. Have you ever been tested for that?

Hey honey girl I am having a blood test today check my hormone levels. Is this how you find out about it?

Honestly, my doc never even did a test. I had so many symptoms of it, he made me track a couple cycles and come back and tell him and then put me directly on the medication. Good you're getting a test done! Esp while you're still in your LP. I sort of wish he had done a test, but also glad to have been able to get on the medication sooner as it can't really hurt. Let me know how it goes!

I think it's normal to get cramps in your luteal phase - the womb builds up whether you are pregnant or not. Good luck with the blood tests.

I think it can be normal and no big deal, but better to get it checked out. I started having that after my miscarriage and my doc says my hormones are just a little thrown off right now. I would rather have the medication now instead of waiting for my hormones to get back on track (if they ever do! who knows) when will you get the results from your blood test?

I am having the test on the 5th of feb while I am on my period. And it usually takes a couple of days to get the results.

I'm having these cramps too and I also have a short luteal phase. Honeygirl are you in the UK? My doc said they don't prescribe progesterone for short luteal phases in the UK :-/

No, I live in Sweden. Must be different regulations :-/ What are you supposed to do in the UK if you have a short LP??

The regulations are really different! Even Norway and Sweden have so much differences, we send some of our ivf'ers to Sweden because there are tests you guys do that we don't.

Ya it’s really different here. My doctor has been really generous with tests etc for me even though I’ve only had one miscarriage. IVF is really common, this whole country revolves around babies!! I feel like an outsider now, but once we’re parents, we’ll be so grateful for it!

I wish I knew! I really don't know. I'm currently trying vitamins & doing acupuncture whilst I wait for my test results and hopefully then a referral to the fertility clinic for their advice. My luteal phase is 7-8 days and I'm feeling really disillusioned about it. Someone on her said you can buy progesterone cream online, which I might do once I have all of my test results (I've had the progesterone test, it came up very low).

Ugh that sounds beyond frustrating. Progesterone seems to be such a simple fix for people like us that have a short LP. Hope you can talk to your do and figure something out!
