Advice! Twins or Egg Sac?

Hi All!

I had my first ultrasound yesterday at 8 weeks. The nurse midwife confirmed one fetus with a heartbeat and sent us home with a picture. After showing our ultrasound to a few close relatives, we were asked if we were expecting twins. What do you guys think? Could it be twins or just the yolk sac?

That’s definitely the yolk sac.

I think it’s the yolk sac, the person carrying out the scan will definitely have seen it and advised you if it was another baby x

I'm thinking yolk sac too. I've never had an ultrasound this early with my other two.

I had this same thought! My sac looked like a prawn so actually looked like a smaller baby. I’ve had another scan since and definitely only one in there!
