Advice please

Hi all,

I am currently going through a miscarriage, I have been bleeding for over two weeks and after a scan last week, we were told there was no heartbeat. I have been passing clots and had heavy bleeding. I think that I may have passed everything now-I have a scan tomorrow to confirm.
My bleeding is quite light now and all pain is gone along with my pregnancy symptoms. My boobs have stopped hurting etc.

My question is; when do I expect my period, i know this varies but was wondering from the experiences of others. Also do I count from when miscarriage actually happened (i think I know the day) or by when bleeding stops. I just want to take some control over the situation, we are going to try again and want to have an idea of when this would be.

When I had my MMC I had medical management. The day I had the procedure and passed the sac and contents was the day I counted from. I got AF exactly 28 days after this. I was a bit shocked because I expected it to take longer and I didn't have the 21 days of no bleeding they say you should have so you know it is definitely AF and not a continuation of the miscarriage.

Do you think you have passed it all? When you have you scan they will be able to tell you if it has all gone and then you'll know that you can expect AF between 3-5 weeks after.

Torino, thanks for your reply, thats reassuring to know that its possible to get back to normal so soon after. I think I may have passed everything, I didnt want to actually look and inspect but there were clots, one especially that was like the size of a golf ball and TMI made quite a noise when hit the water in the toilet. I feel more normal today so feel like the pregnancy hormones must have reduced.
My scan is tomorrow afternoon and that is to confirm if it has all gone and wether any intervention is needed. I'm glad to know that its poss that we will be trying again in 6-7 weeks maybe xxx

Sounds like it has passed to me sweetheart. I had a big clot thing (boy I am so glad I didn't look at it) and they inspected it and told me it was everything that needed to come away. I hope they tell you it has tomorrow when you go so you can get this all over with and back to it when you are ready.
