So my best friend since childhood found out she can not have nor carry a child. I have offered to carry a child for her when she was ready. Now her and her husband are ready to have a baby. we are going to attempt home insemination first, I was wondering if anyone could help us with advice on effective ways and kits we could use to help us with this journey! Any advice would be helpful. Google is throwing us through a loop with so many positive and negative reviews on everything we have tried to look into.

i know a lesbian couple who just got pregnant doing home insemination. they just used a syringe thats it, by the sounds of it, and waited for positive opks to try

I use 10ml needless syringes (rubberless) from ebay with sterile pots 60ml pots. You can get them on ebay...you want them all sealed. Also fertile friendly lubricant is good.

Basically he deposits into pot, you use syringe to put it up there. You can put lubricant up first to help. Some people warm the sperm in pot with hands to liquify it first. You can also leave syringe in to warm up before pushing plunger.

No I don't. To be honest unless the environment is cold it's still liquid. I do put the syringe in and let it warm up for 5 mins, and then depress it very slowly and lie with hips up for 30mins and rock from side to side.

Hi I'm a surrogate currently pregnant with 3rd surro baby. There are some really helpful surro and Ip (intended parents) groups on Facebook that can talk you all through the entire process of surrogacy including the parental order after baby is born.
We used the syringes that you get in nurofen or calpol. The sperm must be kept at body temperature. Lay down for a minimum of 30 mins with hips raised. Good luck x

hi I didn't want to read and run but I am currently in a similar position but my hubby is unable to fully perform so we have been trying for nearly 6 years and was looking to try this before we pay £800 on private fertility help

good luck and hope you have a good success and what an amazing friend you are to your friend x
