Hi

I have seen CBFM mentioned by several people and was just wondering what the difference is between this and OV sticks?

A lot of people seem to use them (CBFM) but I was just wondering what the difference was. The sticks say you are OV or not but does the CBFM measure your levels or something rather than a yes/no or give you more info?

I have looked on their site but am still confused!!!

hi there,i never used the clearblue fertility sticks but did use the ebay ones and never got a positive on them,i gave up after a while and decided to buy the CB fertility monitor and some preseed instead,i got my bfp the first month of using them!
the CB fertility monitor "gets to know you" and tells you when in your cycle you are at your most fertile by POAS,the test sticks and monitor are quite expensive but i found it less of a messing around them other things i had tried!
good luck and if you decide to buy one i hope it is as successful for you!

Hi, I use the CBFM and have done for about 5/6 months. It detects when you are going to ovulate and when you get a PEAK on the monitor you should ovulate within the next 24 - 36 hours. What it can't do is tell you when in that period of time you will ovulate or if/when you have ovulated. The sticks are really god damn expensive (£19.99 for 20 sticks) as you are asked to test from CD7 up until it brings up your peak which can be right up until CD20 depending on how long your cycles are. One month it asked me to test from CD7 and continued to do so for 19 days although i got sick of feeding it sticks and gave up for that month. They are ok but it doesnt necessarily mean you will get a BFP from it right away and those that have, maybe they would have fell pregnant that month anyway? Who knows.... I find most of the time I can get the more precise result from an ebay OPK and often have to use one in addition to the monitor anyway to try and pin point it exactly. Personally, I'd save your money and invest in some ebay cheapies if i were you!

Thanks for the advice. Think I am gonna continue with the ebay cheapies and see what happens. Maybe if still trying in 6 months or so may consider one then.

Thank you! :D
