Advice on a Buggy Situation Please :)

My son will just have turned 2 when our baby is due can any1 who has a child at that age advise if they use just a buggyboard or a double buggy please? and wat about long shopping trips if u just use a buggyboard?

my friend had a buggypod for her son to sit in when she had her 2nd and he was 2 and a half. it attatched to her pram but it was a lil seat instead of the board. now she has a buggyboard cos he prefers to run around now that hes 3 and his lil sister is 1
