Last night I went out for a friends birthday and indulged in a plate of fries, got home about 10.30 and went to bed. Couldnt sleep and by about 12.30 I was getting constant pains in my tummy around and above my belly button so I just assumed they were my IBS rearing its ugly head.
The ache was constant but with waves of it being unbearable, this kept going for hours but then the pains started coming below my belly button as well. They kept me up till 5.30 this morning when I finally drifted off.
I woke up and i was getting occasional pains and my belly seems sore. The pains have gone on all day but are in my lower belly now. It hasnt stopped me from doing anything as they arent crippling pains they just make me hold my tummy. I went out shopping before and sneezed and felt a gush down below, now my instant thought was my pelvic floor is weakening but this has never happened before. I went the tiolet (TMI) and i was soaking and it had gone through to my pants. It was a clear liquid and didnt smell like urine but not sure what to think, could it have been my hind waters or something. I know munchkin is fine because they are kicking about but I am just a little worried that I mught be passing things off that could be more serious. I am only just coming up to 32 weeks as well so surely this shouldnt be happening.

Any advice would be great, sorry for the long post!!

Sorry to say hun but does sound like your waters plus the pains not a good sign i'm sure everything ok but they could be signs of labour.. i'd def ring your midwife sure they will say to go in just to check you over..   xx

Ditto what keli said I would call you midwife to be on the safe side

Id ring your mid wife
when ive sneezed and weed myself yes once it was a lot and i need to change clothes but with the pains i'd ring so ring your mid wife and find out hunny
it could still be a weaking of your pelvic floor but to be on the dafe side get it cheked out

I think you should ring the maternity hospital as it could well be your waters.
Mine went at 33 weeks with my daughter so it is possible.
Hope everything is ok

I'd second what geordie lass says about sneezing and weeing myself before!!! so it might be that..

but with the pains too I would definately go and get checked.
Have you times how far apart they are?
Hope it turns out ok hun.

I agree with what everyone else has said,
I can relate to the sneezing and weeing myself but never with pains aswell.

Thanks everyone, I havent timed them as they are quite infrequent but what I think I am going to do is keep an eye on them tonight and if they carry on call the midwife in the morning. I will let you know if anything changes!!

if it was your waters it would keep coming
you wouldnt be able to stop it!!!! it coud be your hind waters, i would ring and check out

Personally, I wouldnt wait until the morning. I would call delivery triage for advice.

hope u r feelin betta this mornin hun

if u r at all worried ring ur mw, its wat they r there 4!!!

Thanks everyone for your emails, I still have tummy ache but I think it is just a bug as I am feeling ok in myself but have been the loo several times  I have spoken to the labour ward who have said to put a pad in and if it continues to give them a call again but to be honest I havent had anymore leakage so it was probably just my weak pelvic floor :(

When my waters went it was just one lot and that was it. Not loads but enough to soak through my underwear and PJ bottoms like FBW's.

good you rang they didnt sound to concerned and the fact its stopped it probely means just that annoying waek pelvis alot of us get

keep an eye on it though sweetie

Glad everything seems to be settling down for you.

When my waters broke with my daughter, it was just a trickle, if I bent over & baby's head moved enough. It stopped whenever I stood back up. I didn't think it was my waters, & had a bath, did Tesco shopping & then went to hospital.... They broke at 9am, & I finally rolled up at hospital at 2.30pm...oops. :D

Best to get checked out, just in case. :)

glad you seem to be ok now  good thing you got it checked out just to be safe. i have had similar pains to you a few times and i have just put it down to constipation, eating too much  , baby growing or in an awkward position or just over doing it. hope thats all it is for you and nothing else
