Hi

I have just had a really sharp pain in my side, it only lasted a few seconds then went away, also i have had some aches and pains in my pelvic area, which i have been assured are just things shifting around.

Today i have backache and the aches and pains in my belly seemed to have calmed down a bit but i am getting aches at the top of my legs to.

Is this all normal

I am 4 weeks and 4 days pregnant.

I am also a bit annoyed that the doctors and midwife are not interested in you until you are past so many weeks, so i am having to sit around and worry for at least another 2 weeks yet.

i had aches in the tops of my legs which was one of my first signs and niggly pains in my stomach which my doctor told me was just my muscles and ligaments stretching and it was nothing to worry about. i think its if you have pain and bleeding that that they worry. yeah unfortunatly youll have to wait a few weeks to be referred to the midwife, most booking in appointments happen around 8-9 weeks and then first scan is 12 weeks but this does vary in different areas. congratulations on your bfp :cheer:

Thank you

It really annoys me that they make you wait so long, especially if you have miscarried in the past, surely they would like to keep a closer eye on you?
I know that there isnt much they can do about it but it would make me feel so much more relaxed knowing that they are there to contact.

Ooo look at me rant already :? lol

Sorry :)

hehe Hi Flame
I know what you mean, the 2 weeks wait before we're taken seriously is soooooo looooonnnnnngggggggg.

Hi Peanut

I tried to contact the midwife again today and have been told to ring back tomorrow.

I have had to come home from work today cause i am soo tired i cant keep my eyes open

Oh the joys of pg rear their head again - get used to aches and pains, I've had plenty - bad back, leg cramps, aching at top of my stomach, in my right side, my left side......what I'm basically saying is - try not to overworry (if poss) its all natural, theres plenty more to come babe.

I'm so tired at the minute too, I am asleep on the sofa - literally unable to keep my eyes open - by 9pm most nights

Emmylou's right i'm afraid there is plenty more to come  but all these aches and pains are perfectly normal and everythings getting ready & expanding for your growing bub :D don't worry.
