okay, here goes. my fiancé & I have been trying to conceive for 4 years.. I have very irregular periods. I can spot for months. & we've stressed about it & sunk money into a million preg tests just to be disappointed & absolutely heart broken.. and I just really feel like quitting.. I've got to the point where I'm about to just stop with what I'm putting myself thru.. Or try to. & it's gotten so bad that it stops me from wanting to go around my friends bc they all have babies. Or they r pregnant & I feel like staying distanced. is that wrong of me? please help if anyone knows what may help me conceive. :/ I'm at my wits end with this. /:

Hiya :)

Why have you put yourself through all of that? Something is wrong with you that denial isn't going to fix

Women aren't supposed to have irregular cycles. If a part of your body isn't working normally, you go and see your doctor and that is what you should have done years ago about your cycles.

So, make an appointment :)

The main culprits of irregular bleeding tends to be either endometriosis or poly cystic ovary syndrome. I think you aren't ovulating anyway just because after 4 years with no BFP, the egg mustn't be meeting the sperm for some reason.

Let us know how it goes at the GPs xx

Welcome, have you been using ovulation predictor kits or had ant bloods done yet? If nit then yoy need to first see if you are ovulating at all. You should definetly go to the dr if you havent already been. It may be you just need a little help like clomid to get you regular and ovulating. First step is hard but not as hard as 4 years of heartache!

agree with the others - get yourself to the doctor - there's loads they can do to help. You shouldn't have to go through this alone

What tests have you had done hun? Please please please don't drag it out like I did before seeing the GP and getting a referral to the Gyno. They really can help even if you have PCOS.

I'll be routing for ya hun *hugs*

Big hugs.... I feel your pain... I have been so low about it in recent weeks I've called Samaritains - whilst I have family and friends it's so hard to talk about with people who just have no idea how stressful and depressing TTC is. I hope you feel better soon hun... Love and baby dust to you x x

Hi hon, welcome to PF!

You should def bite the bullet and go to the docs. It was very hard for me to realise that there might be a problem, but once there it is not so bad and you get the ball rolling on the NHS. The waits can be long and the sooner you go the sooner they can refer you.

I am sure it will be fine!!! FX for you.

Love Gizzy xxxxx
