i have a six year old little girl and we are trying for a new baby, how do you think she will ajust shes so used to being a only child?

My son was 6 when I was pregnant and he was so excited! He loves his baby brothers and has never showed any jelousy. One thing he did do tho, he asked me if I loved the baby more than him. He said because I spent so much time with Jacob he thought I must live him more. A little chat and cuddles sorted out that little problem. I hope your 6 year old will be as accepting xx

from what i can gather little boys tend to be more accepting and loving but i find girls are diffrent....i do hope shes okay about it as at the moment shes my main piority

i know a wee girl and she was 7 when her mum had new baby and they just involved her and in the hosp they said the baby got her a new gift - a DSi , so as u can imagine amazing gift and when people bought the baby presents she was showing off hers... and they try and involve her e.g. helping push the pram and nursing her on sofa etc shes fine ... as long as u include her and spoil her a lil reassure her shes not being replaced shell be gr8!! shell prob cope far better than u expect lol xx

I bought my son a gift from the new baby too. I let him hold the baby and help with baths etc, it really does help to involve them xx

thats a really good idea buying her a gift of the baby..its my own fault im worried i supose as codie has been well spoilt :-(
