We told all of our friends and family yesterday the good news. Everyone was really pleased and most were absolutely shocked. The experience was a lovely one. So many hugs and so many congratulations. It felt good sharing our news with the world!

Anyway, since we're not married (although we plan to and always have at some point), we decided that since the baby will take Matt's surname and I don't want to have a different surname, I am now officially:

Debbie Mecham :D

I changed my name by Deed Poll this morning with a solicitor so it's all official. How exciting!!!

Ahh - lovely news! :D

It must have given you a real lift to get all the good wishes and congratulations!

Congrats hun  I never thought about doing that, OH and I aren't married. James did have my surname but we changed it in May so he wouldn't have to change it once he'd started school. We're thinking of getting married next year sometime

I'll deffo get married. We have been engaged for several years, however, it's not something that is going to happen within the next year and I really want my baby tags to have the same name on that the baby will have when it's registered and all stuff like that.

It's not about what others think for me, I just want us all to have the same name. It's personal preference though and something that you can do if you want to. It's extremely easy!

why didnt i do that and save the cost of a wedding lol

congrats hun !

u should have like a naming cermomy ? lil party to celebrate youre new status !

You're right Gem! We should! Come on round - you're all invited LOL

Congratulations!

Least, by the time you do marry, you would have done all the boring name changes to everything  I'm am still going through it, feels like it ill never end
