So I had my booking in appointment last night with the MW.
I Ended up in the wrong place but eventually found the correct place to be, I must have been the last one of the day as the department looked closed. Anyhoo...
I filled all my paperwork in before I went and the only thing I couldn't find was my NHS No. I'm in the Navy so all medical issues are dealt with through them..so I called my old surgery back home in Scotland and got my NHS No. filled it in on the forms and thought nothing of it until..the MW tells me it is not correct! :/ So I tried to explain my situation and that it was a no. from NHS Scotland not England & Wales but still she insisted I was wrong she went to question it with who looked like the more senior of them and I could overhear the senior one saying quite aggressively 'well she must know it and this is definatley wrong'! Argh!! So to cut to the chase I couldn't have my bloods done, all I did was answer a few questions gave the urine sample and she took my blood pressure. She told me to double check the NHS No today (which I did with my old surgery and with the navy-it is correct) and that she would call me to sort something out. No phone call so I called them and left an answer message no return call either.
She mentioned about going into the drop in clinic at the weekend if we 'got the issue sorted' (what issue) and that would be that but now I'm a bit clueless as what to do.
How hard would you think it was to punch someones name and DOB into the NHS system and ping up comes their details?
Some might think I'm being a bit dramatic but I get this ALL the time with having lived in Scotland then now live in England and not actually ever seen a 'civilian' doctor (if you like). The MW who saw me was lovely not sure she is now my regular one though.
Anyway hopefully all will be sorted next week and should hear about my scan date too!
