My midwife made a bit of a slip today.

To the registrar at my scan:
"Yes,HE'S been lying breech for the past 7 weeks or so"

HE indeed?

I was convinced I was having a girl.....still,maybe she's just one of these people who refer to everything of doubtful gender as "he"

I dont thinjk its a slip.. most midwifes tend to say he or she.. better than it isnt it lol...

I honestly don't know what to do with a little boy...For some reason I was just so convinced it'd be a girl....but the more i think about it, the more the idea of a boy grows on me.....oh goodness now I am so impatient lol

the midwife did the same with me hun at 36 weeks and i asked her if it was a girl and she said no it was just what she said to everyone but when i asked her after birth she said that she did know and said sorry

I call mine "he" all the time but i have no idea what I'm having. It's not written anywhere on my notes what sex it is, and I had an amnio which confirms the sex. I think it's probably just what she says when the gender is unknown xx

Midwifes always call them s/he and not know theor sex, they will only know if the scanner noted it down on her medical records for her to see.

My MW called stephen she all the ay through and i knew he were a boy

mine called mine a he once and i said she lol but the way im carrying like my mum its a girl :)

Hi

you will know soon enough , hope she didnt ruint he surprise for you
Katrina

At my scan the sonographer said he but she didnt look at the sex, I think they just say he/she to sound more human- better that 'it'

well I'm trying not to read too much into it anyway, I'll prob end up looking daft if I do :D

Mine have all said "baby's doing this" instead of he or she, though the sono lady said it was obvious which we were having but we didn't ask and she didn't tell us, but by that I assume she means it's a boy because it's less obvious if a girl isn't it..?
