I've exclusively breastfed freya for the last 14 weeks, but as I'm going to be going back to work I'm going to start weaning her on to formula this week. She already takes breast milk in a bottle, that's how she goes to bed, bath then bottle then off she goes.

I'm nervous about it to be honest because I'm worried she won't take it. Ile still to her first feed in the morning even when she is on formula for rest of day

I'm just wondering how others that have done this babies took to taking the formula after breast milk being all they knew. Also will my boob (I've only fed off one 10 weeks and expressed the other due to huge gouge that won't heal) adjust to just being full in morning for her or will my supply go down?

I've not done this, but didn't want to read and run

Are you going to combi feed while you are at work or going to go to full time formula?

All I would say is that gradually stop or your boobs will get engorged and painful. You may need to express a little off while you are cutting down?

I've pretty much fed off one boob since she was four weeks old so the left one's supply has went down so I won't notice as much but the right one swells right up. I express it before I go to bed because her routine is always bath, bottle and bed, so I do that to prepare the next night's bottle and then I feed her when she wakes up in the morning. I want to keep this up for a good while so even though she will get formula during the day I will still be giving breast milk for her first and last feeds, and when I'm working this will be the only time I see her.
I had mastitis when she was 2 weeks which I fed through and I know Ile need to express a bit off to try and stop that again it was awful.
Thanks girls xx
