As the title says, i'm 8wks 2 days and have no symptoms. I originally started with sore boobs, and occasional nausea but these have all disappeared. I had a scan last friday and saw a baby and heartbeat which measured to date. I just feel so nervous that i've no symptoms. I experienced a mmc in feb and that was very much the same experience, very minimal symptoms that disappeared, so i think this is fueling my fear.

Has anyone ever experienced a first tri with little to no symptoms and gone on to have a healthy pregnancy? xx

I know what you mean about constant dread. I feel like after the initial excitement I can't be happy about this pregnancy too much because it doesn't seem real and I'm so scared of losing it and being devastated. Having never done this before I can't help you out with advice but just reassure you that you aren't alone.

I had that. My symptoms disappeared around 8 weeks but everything was perfectly fine. From memory, it happened to a fair few of us so seems quite common.

Congratulations on your pregnancy! x

First of all a very big congratulations to you for your pregnancy. Such things are quite common while pregnancy, so don't worry about that.

I’ve heard that apparently from 8 weeks the placenta starts taking the brunt of the hormones on so you start feeling less yucky! This may be why! Xx

I lost my mind with worry when all my symptoms literally disappeared overnight at 6+5. I went in and got a blood test and everything and the number was very reassuring... then I had a scan at what turned out to be 10+1 and all was fine. I'm 25+1 now and all is still well.

I really think you're fine. tri 1 is horrible. Tri 1 after a loss is sheer agony. At 25 weeks I still check for blood every time I go to the bathroom! It's no joke!

Congratulations baby.3 :)

I think there's so much emphasis in media about the first trimester and feeling awful with morning sickness, that most women expect it to be the norm! I didn't have any traditional morning sickness with either pregnancy. With DS I was mostly tired through the first trimester, but this pregnancy I had some slight nausea from 4-7 weeks that was only really noticable if I didn't eat enough. No vomiting, no sore boobs, no cravings!

As Theosmama said, I also read the placenta takes over around 8ish weeks which could be why you're feeling alright now, and if you've had healthy scans so far then chances are you're just lucky with your symptoms!

This is why I live this forum! Thank you ladies :) your words of experience and encouragement have really helped calm my nerves.

Pregnancy at best is nerve-wracking but after a loss its just a nightmare!

As it turns out I've actually thrown up twice today. I've been avoiding tea and coffee, firstly down to the caffeine content but also I can't bare the thought of a warm milky drink. But i decided I really wanted a cuppa, so had decaff and promptly threw it back up. So I think I may have an aversion to warm/milky drinks. Then again after a dirty macdonalds. And took my bra off this evening to heavy feeling breasts... So I think I may have panicked a little.

I think I just need to relax a little and know that my symptoms seem to rise and fall sparodically - possibly with the rise of hormones? I also read that although the placenta isn't fully formed for a while yet, it does begin to work around 8wks. So maybe that's what's happening too. I dunno, I just need to chill lol.

Thank you again ladies, really appreciate it xxx

It's so hard to relax when all you hear are horror stories about how terrible everyone should feel throughout their whole pregnancy. Unfortunately it is the case for some people but it's not really the norm though when you don't feel like that you just assume it must be you that's wrong!! I've been very well throughout and really the only thing that affected me in Tri 1 was the tiredness. I wasn't sick once and was barely nauseous. Just needed to nibble on something to sort it out!!
