We've been trying to a few months now (about 8) and my wife is abroad on a business trip and she is 7 days late. I've heard that travel disrupts things, but 7 seems excessive. She said she has feelings of coming on her period but nothing all week. Excited husband here... Anyone else had anything similar.

Hi

I wish you lots of baby dust but the only way to know for sure is to test as at 7 days late you do get a pretty definitive answer. Guessing she is unable to do this at present so try to sit tight....as sadly odd cycles cam be very common....I have had 3 cycles in 18 months where I have gone massively late (12 days on one cycle) and none resulted in a pregnancy. Rest of my cycles are regular.

Wish you all the luck...hope u get the answer you want soon!

It could effect her but I wouldn't think that much if she can get a test then you can know for sure. Fingers crossed

Thanks. Another day has passed and she messaged me to say she felt a twinge which she thought meant her period might be arriving. But nothing all today. Its a shame she can't get a test where she is but she's back soon so fingers crossed.

Thanks. Wife is home this evening so fingers crossed. Very odd for her to be this late.

Indeed - it was positive!! We're both really happy. Funny, we had just been to the doctors and had tests done (all were fine). But sometimes it does take something like this for things to 'work'. After everyone telling us to 'relax', I guess peace of mind helped. We'd just moved house too so maybe the stress of this was also an issue.

Over the moon now though :)
