I am sooooo unbelievably tired. I didn't ever think that the first trimester would be so tiring so early on.

Is anybody else experiencing it?

I've got an insanity work out planned for today, I haven't exercised in a week due to being so tired so I really need to do it today but right now all i can think of is my bed!

Snap!

I'm 7+2 today and have never been so tired. Really hoping it eases soon.

Is Insanity ok to do in early pregnancy? xx

Hi Me!! I personally wouldn't be doing insanity - it's very high impact. Other exercise that you would normally do is fine but insanity puts a huge strain on your body - it's designed to be extreme!!!! X

I've done it for months before pregnancy & im sure it'll be ok. The one I'll be doing today is cardio & there are 2 levels you can chose to do. Always a less impact option is available which I'll take if I need to. There's no weights or anything like that it's all done just you & your trainers!

Me neither if I'm honest. I don't do any high intensity exercise, especially since finding out I'm pregnant.
My daily exercise is walking.

After nearly 4 years ttc I personally wouldn't risk it, but that's just my opinion xx

Yeah, the tiredness is a killer and comes on soo quickly! It's your body's way of telling you what it needs though, all your energy is going into growing a healthy little baby and there is no way you should be ignoring it and doing an insanity workout! xx

The guilt of not exercising is getting to me so bad!
I know the reason why it's just hard to tell yourself it's ok! X

You need to prioritise between feeling guilty for not keeping up your normal exercise routine and doing everything you can to make sure you have a healthy pregnancy and baby! I would hate to read a post on here from you after something had happened after pushing yourself too far!
The clue is in the name, it's not called insanity for no reason and I'd be surprised if your instructor would even be happy for you to take the class because it would effect their insurance etc.
You don't need to stop exercising all together, just tailor it to your situation, like walking, swimming, yoga etc. You need to get your head around the fact that things are not the same as they were and are never going to be again and pregnancy is a time to adapt to that, you're not going to be able to leave your new born baby to go to the gym! xx

You're Defo right. I know my diet is fine I'm just one of thof people who has to exercise to maintain a steady weight. After losing 8stone (and still being obese) it petrifies me getting bigger again. But it will be for a very very good reason <3

The insanity workout is not recommended when pregnant is look into a lighter workout your body is telling you to rest please listen to it xx

That's a massive achievement, well done. What's important now is looking after you and your baby and growing in a good way is all a wonderful part of that which needs to be embraced :-) xx

Think I'll just stick to my gentle running & throw in a few long walks on days off xx

Why not try Zumba? It's not too intense and should be ok during early pregnancy. And maybe take up swimming or pregnancy yoga.xx
