I am 40 and half, this is my third pregnancy, the first 2 ended in miscarriage at around the 2nd month.
Nedless to say I am terrified.
The GP gave me iron and folic acid tablets but refused to give me aspirinett on the ground that he is not a specialist.
Does anyone know if taking iron is a good idea. I am quite reluctant.
I also practice physical activies( swim, spin, yoga) regularly and would like to know if it is ok to keep on doing so.

Thanks a million

Congratulations on your pregnancy and I wish you a happy, healthy nine months.

I'm so sorry, I don't know the answer to your question, though.

Congratulations!

Hope you have a happy healthy pregnancy this time. Regarding the exercise, as long as it is exercise that you've already been doing regularly, it's fine to carry on. I think they advise against starting any new strenuous activity. I do spinning, and when I was pg earlier in the year (before mc), my instructor raised the position of the handlebars so stomach isn't bent over as much. I'd tell your instructors that you're pg (it's hard I know, as you probably don't want many people to know in the early stages), but they will be able to advise you and make adjustments accordingly.

Think swimming and yoga are fine.

I'm sure everything will be fine this time round. All the best

Congratulations!!!

I hope all goes well for you this time - I'm sure it will. :D :D :D

Iron and folic acid are safe and I would definately take the latter in the first trimester.

Excercise is fine as long as it is what you're used to. I'm being guided by what my body is telling me in that I usually excercise every day but sit ups now feel a bit funny so I do fewer, more gentle ones of those.

Good luck with the pregnancy!!!
