5 week.period- should i be worried?

hi. my lo is 13 wks old nearly. i had a c section and bled for about 5 1/2 wks. i then had no bleed for just over 2 wks. during this time i had the mirena coil fitted. my period arrived at 7 1/2 wks after birth and it is still going strong. the first 3 weeks were heavy. i am now experiencing what i would say is a light period- there has been no respite. i had the mirena coil fitted as prior to pregnancy i had one to control heavy periods due to endometriosis. i am starting to get worried now as there are no signs that this bleed is coming to an end. has anyone else experienced anything like this? thanks

oh and i stopped breast feeding after 2 weeks

I know you've had the coil before, but i experienced this when mine was fitted, bleeding didn't stop for months for me so had it taken out, so it's probably due to your coil Hun xxx

I have the coil - I bled for a couple weeks but even though you had a csec, the blood has to come out - so could be your cycle trying to get back on track - I wouldnt be alarmed if it is showing signs of tapering off.

Thanks ladies. I think that i will go to see my gp tomorrow. I have started feeling dizzy and flushed so time to get things checked. I will keep you posted xxx
