5 week old and started waking when put down help???

My Lil girl is 5 weeks old and cries when shes put down when shes fell asleep this has started over the last couple of days.p But she sleeps fine when we are out and about in her carry cot and when we get home she sleeps fine. She used to love being swaddled but now seems like she she doesn't like it.
She has reflux but doctor hasn't prescribed anything yet we've got our 6 week check Wednesday so will be having words with them bout it.
Just totally fed up now she used to be such a great sleeper but now she ain't x

It might be cos she is going through a developmental leap. I've got the wonder weeks app (after reading about it on here) and it says the first developmental leap happens between 4 and a half and 5 and a half weeks. It says they will get more fussy and clingy during these leaps.

Think she may be. Shes done pretty okay with going down. Shes had a bottle n fell asleep and managed to wind her and put her down and shes stayed there wirh no problems no crying or anything.
Hope she stays like that tonight and we manage a better night. X

If she has reflux could you tilt the cot/crib/moses to help reduce the reflux symptoms?

Hi Eva did exactly the same. I kept trying but often would end up cuddling her while she was asleep. She also has reflux and had our six week check yesterday and doctor has given us infant gaviscon it's too early to tell if this is working yet..... Fingers crossed.

doubt its reflux then

have you tried rolled up towels in side of moses basket?

extra layer of clothes or a blanket?

warming the crib with a hot water bottle first - sometimes the cold wakes them up after a cosy warm cuddle

I also have the wonder weeks and agree about the leap. Our baby wouldn't sleep at all without being.on.us for the first 6 weeks, til he decided he was ready to go.in.his carrycot. I have also read that you can.cause hip dysplasia if you swaddle after 4weeks of age. Now we co sleep and we use the swaddle up or I swaddle his arms and leave his legs free. My baby suffers a lot with wind whichgreatly disturbs his sleep so iI gently lift his legs when he starts to stir before a feed and get some trumps out, then sometimes he will go back to sleep if the trumping.doesn't disturb him.
