2 year old not sleeping

My dd has been a wonderful sleeper until now! She has had the odd week or so of interupted sleep and we have never allowed her in our bed. But.. she not going to bed and creating a big fuss unless we stay with her in her room until she drops off. Then around 2am she wakes up crying and we put her back to bed without talking to her. She screams for about an hour and we just keep putting her back to bed. Eventually she cries herself to sleep (more like screaming!) I asked her why she is scared she says its the fireworks. Thats when all this began! So is she really scared and is this what they go through? could it be my 2 month old waking her up? Should I get a night light?

I am so tired!!!!
