Hi everyone,

Sorry for the very needy post. As the title suggests I've recently found out I'm pregnant following several early losses earlier in the year and last year. Today I am experiencing quite bad cramping low into my pelvis and also in my bum and running down my leg- to the point where I am constantly going to the loo to check if I am bleeding. I can't remember what a normal pregnancy feels like anymore and I'm terrified that this is a sign that something is going wrong. It feels just like my period is about to arrive.

Please does anyone have any experience of this? I would really rather know and prepare myself if this sounds like a red flag. Equally, if any of you are or have been at a similar stage and have experienced this but it turned out to be normal please share your stories?

I've had a fair bit of cramping, mostly localised to uterus area. When I implanted, the pain went down into my legs. Fingers crossed, it's just stretching. Xx

Hi Emma,

These first few weeks are so scary aren't they? I've had the exact same pains and got myself in such a state crying about them, convincing myself something is wrong. I seen the GP today and he said it all sounds perfectly normal as the uterus grows and stretches so much, it also puts pressure on the nerves which is giving the leg and bum pain. I feel so much better now after speaking to him. He also done my bloods to check my levels which has also given me some reassurance!

I'm trying not to let my stress and worry take over enjoying these early days but it is so hard. Least there's a few of us in the same boat on the December thread so we'll get through it together. Big hugs  xxx

Thanks so much for your reply- I'm sorry you're experiencing the same although it does help to know that I'm not the only one and that your GP doesn't seem concerned. My pain has eased on the whole now but the last 24 hours have been hell and I'm pretty sure there will be more to come... Wake me up in 7 weeks time!! Xxx

No problem :) during the day I feel pretty okay, just mild cramping, but come night time it goes into overdrive. It must be as I'm active over the day the rest at night. I've taken it easy this afternoon so I'm hoping I'll see a difference tonight! It is so worrying when you have had a loss, you automatically think the worst and not any rational answer!

I would happily go for a 7 week sleep. If only eh! Xx

Hi emma, i also felt the same. Quite strong cramps just identical to AF. I used to constantly run to the bathroom and check if i was infact bleeding, which i wasnt. I was told it is normal unless you do have any heavy bleeding. I am now 8 weeks gone and dont feel any cramps nomore. Fingers crossed for us all xx
