39 week MW appointment

Hello all,

Well, I had my 39 week appointment this morning and first thing MW said was she didn't expect to see me cos she thought I'd given birth .... yeh, in my dreams. Dunno why she thought that

Baby is head down 4/5 engaged. Her bum is on my right side and limbs on the left. My wee is fine, BP 114/70 but its always on the low side.

I have a sweep booked for next Tues when I'm 40 weeks - this surprised me cos I thought I'd have to go overdue for a sweep but nevertheless I'm quite happy for her to do it.

So all in all a good appointment and looks like things are ready to rock....

EDIT: Also, MW thinks I could have a 3 or 4 hour labour this time... here's hoping.

My midwife tried a sweep at 40 weeks. Problem was, she was tiny with short fingers and I am tall, with a long canal and retro cervix....so, she couldn't do it!lol

Still went into labour two days later though....

Sounds like its full steam ahead for you now!! Good luck
