37 weeks and 5/5 free...

... Just been to my midwife and she had a feel of baby and it 5/5 free so not engaging at all... Is this normal at this stage or should it start going down?
I'm soooo gonna be late...
Next appt is 3weeks today which will be my due date and her last words to me were 'I WILL see you then'

I was 4/5 at 38 week so I don't think it's unusual to be 5/5 at 37w x

I don't think it makes much difference hun. At 37 weeks I was 3/5ths engaged, at 39 weeks I was 1/5th engaged and then 40+4 weeks I was bak 3/5ths engaged and baby still not here. They seem to wriggle around right up to labour xx

My LO was all over the place as I had excess fluid, last MW appointment think she was breech! but she came a week early and was the right way round. My friends baby was engaged and baby must have turned breech in the last week so she ended with emergency c section. I think there is no rule to it at all, these munchkins like to keep us guessing. X

Yep still going tried a clary sage bath this morning, with loads of the stuff! Proper stank myself out with it and nothing yet! Will try rubbing some into my bump later on when I get home xx

Aw thanks Lucy... I think I was expecting to go in and there be some sort of progress ha! Silly me... And to not see my midwife again for 3weeks till my due date is rubbish... She hasn't even done my birth plan or a home visit xxx

Some places sound so unorganised! Where I live everything has been done properly! I've had 2 home visits already. But I think 1 was cos I'm under 19 xxx

I haven't done a birth plan with my mw either and now 10 days late!! I do have a health visitor visit me when I was about 36 weeks though xx

Oh baby Em I don't really know, I googled it. And basically 5/5 is like the baby is free... 4/5 babies head partially in pelvis etc... Then when you go into labour you get it 0/5 when the head is out!!!

Kanga that's rubbish iv had no visits. Except a woman that wasn't a health visitor or a midwife. Not sure what she was haha xxx
