35 weeks Hospital Appointment

So I had appointment this morning.

When midwife took my BP it was WAY high. She retested it and it had dropped slightly. The doctor took it manually and it was 124/88. They seemed happy with it at that although that is still high for me. Also said trace of protein in my urine. I asked about this and the doctor said that because BP had come down when taken manually that she wasn't worried. Just advised me to see community midwife a couple of times before my next hospital appointment, which is when I'll be 40w1.

When I checked not it said position of baby 4/5. Now I know why I've been in such pain for last couple of days. Baby has been getting himself into position.

Was due to work for 2 more weeks before maternity but went into and handed in holidays for those 2 weeks. So I AM NOW OFF

Yay for officially being off work!! I think as soon as u have any time off it is so hard to start back up again!

As for ur bp I'm sure all is fine if it dropped when done manually, I hate those electronic machines!! I'm sure I get more anxious having my bp done on one of those machines!! Xx

They seemed to think something was wrong with their machine today as everyone was reading high. I have ante natal class tonight and it's taken by my community midwife so gonna mention it to her then. Think I've just worried myself bout it all now as I have funny head. But I know I wouldn't have been told all was ok if it wasn't x

My bp was 130/88 the other day, and it's usually 120/70. They said if the second number goes above 90 they would be concerned. I went to be retested a few days later and it was 130/80 which they said was fine. She said that you need to look out for symptoms such as vision disturbances and pain like indigestion that doesn't go away xx

Also mentioned to me today about vision, headaches and pain at top of bump. Only thing at top of my bump is baby's feet lol

I was at ante natal class there which is taken by my community mid wife. I mentioned to her and she said to call into the ante natal clinic at my doctor's surgery on Thursday and they would check me again. Better safe than sorry
