anyone any tips on how to induce yaself. thisd baby is far too big and im bored now. just want to be able to see my feet again

I'M DEFINATLY WITH YOU ON THIS ONE. I'VE BEEN DRINKING RASPBERRY LEAF TEA, TRIED THE CURRIES (NOT GOOD IN THIS HEAT!!)
LONG WALKS ARE KIND OF OUT DUE TO THE WEATHER SO I DON'T KNOW WHAT ELSE TO DO.
I DONT RECOMMEND THE CASTER OIL THING I'D PROBABLY END UP WITH THE RUNS AND NOTHING ELSE!

I have tried everything!!! My due date was yesterday and I thought she was coming in the afternoon as I had major twinges for about 2-3 hrs but then nothing!!

I have done the curries, chilli, fresh pineapple, long walks, walking up stairs side ways, stretching, raspbery leaf tea - everything!!

I want to see my feet too - my hubby keeps laughing at me as I keep trying to give my self a pedicure - well cant go to hospital with yucky feet can ya!! not pretty sight tho! I'm almost double jointed trying to do it!!

I've heard mixed stories about the castor oil so kinda tryin to stay away from it!

iv just been told that douching in a hot bath ( squating and splashing water up there) is a really good one. sounds hopless to me tho. and then after that squat or bounce up n down on the end of your couch. il give theses a go i think.

i've decided that no matter how hot and minging i feel, i'm going to enjoy my last 2 weeks of quiet make sure everything is really sorted and try to chill out and rest before L/O is born.
he'll come out when hes ready and thats fine by me!

arr bless thats a good idea sweety .... i would be the same if in the last week he is getting bigger by the day and the 38 or so weeks of no stretch marks had all gone to waste and I am getting new ones every morning!!

Also I want him here before my birthday!! xxx

Believe me fran - you'll want the baby out!! I'm a week over now and still hangin on!! I think I'm slowly going crazy!!

I'm still trying all the things but nowt yet!!

Hospital again tomorrow tho so fingers crossed

Have you tried using a Tens machine?? Not for pain relief yet obviously, but they do say not to use them before 37 weeks due to possibly bringing on labour. Worth a try????

Is there anything else we shouldn't use whilst being pg due to this possibility??? I'm sure there are others but can't think of anything right now.

dont get me wrong i cant wait to get him out i've been going stir crazy from about week 25...i think i wrote that coz i'm just scared of labour now! i thought i was in labour this morning as i had been having braxton hicks all night and one of those freakily real dreams at about 5am that my waters broke and i sat up and said "not now i'm too tired" when i woke up still had braxton hicks and wasnt sure if it was a dream..lol!

so you still havent had anything hun? poor you i've got everything crossed for you!!! xxx

Still nothing! I had my sweep - honestly not as bad as I was thinking but still not something I would reccomend -more for dignity reasons!!

MW said I was 2cm dialated so everything is heading in the right direction!

Getting induced 3pm Thursday if nothing happend by then!

I dont think it matters what you do, i think babies come when they feel ready......which i know doesnt help.
But i have heard that tweaking your nipples gets certain hormones flowing which stimulate labour.
