2WW and Flu

Hello from my sickbed here

I reckon I've got that Australian flu as I have been wiped out with a bug for 5 days now and have been feeling dreadful. It happens to have coincided with my 2ww...

Am I right in thinking that this will have ruined any potential chance of conception due to my body temps being all over the place and immunity down as fighting infection? Or could I still be in with a chance....I'm not sure if it makes a difference? Any knowledge bods out there know of any risks?

Sorry to hear you feel rubbish. I had a throat infection, temperature and heavy cold xmas eve-27th. I think i ovulated 23rd or xmas eve....i got my bfp 2 days ago so i think it should affect your chances of conception. As long as you dtd in your fertile week that is! Hope you feel better soon.

I was going to say ooh goodie - but thats a bit inappropriate haha. I mean oh no sorry you had a throat infection but yay to it not making a difference to conception.

We dtd once either on or the day before Ov (estimation) so am in with a chance

Come to think of it I felt rough when I discovered I was preggers - last two times. I had a massive break out in spots, and went off drinking booze

Haha! I know what you mean! I did feel rotten but it was worth it. I dtd cd8 and cd11 so prob was cd11 that i caught as cd8 i dont think was in fertile window! Good luck. I hope you caught too and can join us over in the sept mummies thread!

I too have been feeling horrendous for 5 days now and hoping it hasn’t ruined my chances of conceiving... we dtd on the first day I got a flashing smilie on my CB test, and then also 2 days after that when I got a solid smilie on my CB (couldn’t test or dtd the 2 days between as I was at my friends house)... So hoping there’s a chance

In a way I'm glad I didn't start being ill until after Ov or I'd be in with no chance! But on the other hand I just feel sorry for a little bean (if there is one in there) trying to battle through with all this going on! I've had sweaty fevers, brain fog, coughing, wheezing, nose &eyes streaming, everything aches, the lot... thankfully I have been able to keep food, water and vitamins down and have had plenty of sleep - no probs there - my other half has been amazing and looked after the kids whilst I've been in bed the whole time (I'm lucky really).

Hope you are starting to feel better soon Welsh girl - I managed to get dressed and stay awake so far today - fingers crossed for super strong beans entering a war zone poor things
