2nd Birthday Party ideas please!

This year at the end of August, Rosie will be the grand old age of two!

I am planning to hold an open house for her party, having it at home will be easier for me having a new baby I think.

Has anyone else done this and what did you do?

Im planning on having drinks, savouries, a HUGE birthday cake, balloons etc but would like something really special for Rosie as with the new baby she may be feeling shoved out a little bit so this is something to spoil her with really so any idea would be welcomed!

Last year at her 1st party I hired a Scooby Doo outfit and got my nephew to run around handing out seweets! Only one screamer at that party and she was so traumatised she had to go home - not helped by her drama queen mother!

Oooh have you room for a bouncey castle?

Would a clown be even more traumatic than Scooby?

No we dont have room for a bouncy castle unfortunately, we live in a three storey townhouse so the garden is much smaller. A clown might be in order though! Shame I cant hire Mr Tumble from CBeebies, Rosie would go nuts!
Just remembered, OH gets freaked out by clowns..hehehe Im going to look up some now..
