22 month old with big stomach all of a sudden

I was just wondering if any other mums had come across this, just recently my little one has developed a rather large stomach. He is not skinny sits around the 50th percentile for weight, but at the moment his stomach just stands out massively and seems quite hard. He's playing normal, and filling his nappy at least once a day, but has reduced the amount he eats over the last week or so.

Has anyone experienced this with there little ones ? Should I be worried ?

By filling his nappy, you mean doing poops? My son suffers from constipation and gets a big belly when he hasn't pooped for a while.

Are his poops normal? does the bloating get worse after certain foods?

I'm a only asking as my cousin has Coeliac disease, and as a toddler he was quite thin elsewhere but had a huge balloon like belly, before being diagnosed.

Most doctors won't diagnose or test for this in a toddler and pass it off as being just toddler belly etc. but if it's concerning you I would at least go and see what they say.

We've had this post-antibiotics. I've found a month of probiotics sorted it right out.

Yeah his poops are pretty normal, he seems to be a lot better today so will see how he goes...
