21 day bloods on the wrong day???

Well been TTC for 17 months now and when came off the pill thought i wasnt ovulating so i started temping ect these confirmed i ovulated once then stopped got a few 21 day blood which were really hard as very irregular but that also confirmed wasnt ovulating, results were below 3 both times and i got it done last cycle but af came the next day but results were 3.6 the day before af ,does this mean i ovulated for the first time since coming off the pill?? the reason i got the bloods done last cycle was my temps were up for 8 days ( missed out a few days) and the day af came my temp dropped, just so confused about the temps being up and the results at 3.6 the day before af when before it was always below 3 a week before af, this probs dosnt make sense as im rambling lol

Hi I'm not sure I'm following you but from what I can work out you got your 21 day bloods done but then AF came the next day - did she come on CD22 or on a different sag as you got your 21 day test done on a different day?

If you don't have cycles the 21 day test is pretty useless anyway IMO and is just a box they have to tick before you see the fertility clinic. I went for them and had no idea what cycle day I was on as I hadn't had a real period in months!

The best way to detect when to test for ovulation is 7days (give or take a day) after you think you ovulated. It sounds as though the times you've had the test have maybe been the wrong days. I wouldn't worry though as I'm assuming this is all for a referral to the clinic and your obviously well entitled to that after 17months x

the 21 day bloods is a progestrone check to check if you ovulated which its only called the 21 day bloods as on average thats when its done but i am very irregular and had to guess when 7 days before my period would be which usually got it right due to af symptoms but last time i got it done on cd 107 but af came the next day but i cant seem to find levels of progestrone the day before af if ovulation has occurred, i just have a feeling i did but yeh they referred me ages ago but i have OCD and anxiety which prevents me from meeting new people and the thought of travelling to the fertility clinic is just something that im not ready for, it took 18 months to conceive my first so never know might be the same lol
