21 Day Blood Test?

Hi Girls,

I have seen alot of people mention 21 day blood tests on the forum. What do they test for? Is it something the GP recommends or can you request it? If you can request it yourself is there a criteria you have to fit?

I'm sure someone will correct t me if I'm wrong but I think it's to check that you are ovulating xx

I think it checks progesterone levels and ovulation. I knew I had Ovu symptoms early in my 30 day cycle (cm cd8 onwards) so I asked my doc if I can have my blood test earlier and she agreed. You may have to say you've been trying longer than you have. It's your body and your life so be demanding with your doc or you'll be on a long list of people. I'm having every check I can, only been trying for 5 months but my husband and I have used no protection for ten years.
