20 week scan uk

Hey ladies! When did you find out when your 20 week scan is? I’ve got my 12 week one tomorrow and I’ve read on net that some get given the date then. I’ve also heard they get it in the post. I’m 20 weeks around new year and wanting to find out the sex so trying to find out if it’s worth booking a private one seeing as it’ll be Xmas holidays etc

I found out after my 12 week scan in the post but it wasn't long after. A few days.

If you book private you can find out from about 16 weeks though. I did wait for my 20 week scan to find out but was tempted to go private just to find out sooner as I was the same as you and really wanted to know.

I got mine at my 12 week scan my 20 week scan is December 28th. Which I didn't think would be the case I expected to have a scan early January.

That’s what I was thinking they might do with me. I don’t want to wait until new year so hoping it’s before then or I’m gonna have to pay for a scan after 16 weeks lol x

I’m too eager to find out too lol. I’ve read you can have your nhs scan between 18 and 21 weeks though so if it is 18 weeks I’d get mine then, I’d rsther just wait the extra 2 weeks and save some money lol. I’m hoping I find out when the scan is soon. I hate not knowing things lol

I booked in for the 20 week scan at the desk as I left after the 12 week scan. I preferred that as I got a nice early morning appointment that day

Thanks everyone. I’ve jist had my 12 week scan and they gave me the 20 week scan in a letter straight after. Unfortunately it’s not until 9th of jan so I’m going to book a gender scan Cos I can’t wait that long! Lol
