Hi ladies,

I had my 20 week scan today. I'm wondering if anyone can advise me on whether the measurements seem ok. Maybe tell me how yours compared. My friend is pregnant too, although a couple of months ahead, and is being monitored as her baby is measuring very small. So I compared my results with her 20 week measurements and my baby's are actually coming up smaller.

I have attached a photo of the measurements. The sonographer said that the baby weighs 9ounces and I am 19+4 weeks.

Would appreciate any opinions 😀

Thanks,

Dee xx

Hi Dee,

I had my scan today, although I’m 20+2, they seem ok looking at mine? The sonographer told me everything was perfect with my baby xx

I wouldn’t worry too much about the measurements. I remember my daughter’s 20 week scan and she had a femur length on the 25th centile, but tummy was around 75th and Hubby was telling me that I’d made a short, fat baby!! When she came out, she was very long and thin. The complete opposite to what the 20 week scan suggested. The sonographer would have brought it up as an issue if they were concerned. You’ll start having bump measurements from around 28 weeks which will help monitor growth.

Could it be your friends scan was closer to 21 weeks? They grow a lot in a short space of time? I think if there was something of concern they would have told you at the scan Hun. Here are my measurements for comparison.

Thanks for the replies, I really appreciate it, and thank you for taking the time to share your measurements too. I think I was just a bit surprised to see that my baby was measuring below average because my son was a very big baby and I expected this one to be the same. Of course there's still plenty of time for her to catch up, which I'm sure she will. The sonographer didn't seem concerned about anything though so that's good.

Thanks again :)

Are you having a girl dee?

Girls are generally smaller xxx

Yeah I'm having a girl. I've heard that they're normally smaller too xxx
