sorry bet im just being annoying asking all these questions

ok reading up on things i saw that you cant take cold flu tablets while pregnant when i was clueless about my pregnancy i took Lemsip Flu tablets a few weeks ago wheni was ill what harm could this do?

also belly peircings im aware you have to switch to a pregnancy bar but when do i switch to this?

also today i had some cramps down there is that normal? they werent bad or painful jus slight if that makes sense :?

I know Lemsip is a no because of the decongestant in it. As to what side effects this has on baby I'd ask your MW to explain and help put your mind at rest.

Cramp like pains are normal. Usually stretching pains or some such.

thankyou i will deffinatly ask my midwife about the flu tablets... i jus wish id took the test when i thought i was pregnant at about 3/4 weeks :wall: instead of leaving it another 4 weeks grrrr so silly!

I wouldn't worry yourself too much lemsip is mainly just paracetamol and that is allowed in pregnancy and cramps are totally normal at the start.

I'm not sure about the belly bar but I would guess when your bump appears :cheer:

I changed my belly bar when I got to about 14 weeks with my son. Only because I didnt want it too get too tight! You can really change it whenever, just when your bar starts getting uncomfy.
Make sure you order a plastic pregnancy retainer bar thats 2 sizes bigger than your metal bar if you want to keep your piercing in, this is what I did, allowing that extra room is a good idea.

Hiya

I don't know about the belly bar thing but you shouldn't use decongestant in pregnancy because many decongestants contain ephedrine, which can raise the blood pressure, so should be avoided in pregnancy. Instead, use a vapour rub or inhale drops that contain decongestant oils like menthol and eucalyptus. Put a few drops in a bowl of steaming water and inhale for 10 minutes to clear your head.

I'd say the cramps are normal, just your body stretching, unless they are really painful. If you're in any doubt though speak with your dr.

No lemsip or cold remedies. Hope you don't get ill.

I put maternity bar in at 25 weeks. It's different for everyone.

Cramps etc are normal.
