1st period after misscarriage

Hi everybody, I had a misscarriage on the 12th april, it was a natural misscarriage and needed no procedures and i bled for about 10 days afterwards, I had a scan just over a week later and everything had come away but I have just got my first period since and it doesn't feel normal it's more like the blood that was coming out when i was bleeding with the misscarriage and i am hardly getting any pain (not complaining about that though lol) and haven't had my usual period symptoms (sore boobs for a week before) just wondering if anybody elses periods were a bit different afterwards? It's only day one and i'm probably just being silly but it's worrying me a little bit cos it's not normal for me xxx

Hiya, sorry for your loss, I don't think my periods went back to normal until about my 2nd or 3rd period after I lost my first baby but if the blood gets really heavy or you start getting a lot of clots then go back to your doctor soon as possible hugzzzz

Mine was odd when I got it about 45 days later but settled down, wasn't the same as usual but next was ok x

Welcome to PF, Really sorry about your MC.

I felt different than normal the period after my Missed MC, and then fell preg the following month, so it must have gotten back to normal, the only difference was about a week later ovulation and longer cycle

Nope not yet amyrose, no idea what's going on with me.... So frustrating xxxx

oh thanks everybody and sorry for your losses too, it was different in a good way . . . no pain, no sore boobs and it was a day shorter BUT to be honest i'd rather have all the negative effects back just so i know i was back to normal or even better not get my period at all!!! Thankyou lovely ladies xxx
