I had our 1st fertility appt yesterday. They ran through routine questions and gave me 2 forms, 1 to arrange an internal scan with the dye and the other to to book appointment in 2 mnths. She said if the scan is clear, next step is IUI, but we have to have been trying 3 years & I have to be be tween 30-33 to get on NHS, I am 30 next feb so that will be cutting it fine, especially if there is a long waiting list too. 3 years is a long time if time is not on your side.

Feel positive in one sense as will see if tubes etc are ok with scan, but feel a little deflated about the waiting game. Didn't ask any questions as had my interview in the morning so my head wasn't in the frame of mind for loads of questions. Will write some down between now & next appt. Xx

urgh these guidelines get on my nerves , 3 years is enough time no matter how old you are, i hope the results are good for you x x x

I didnt really ask too many questions at my first appointment either hun. Just wanted to hear what our gyno had to say and get my head around the tests we had to have done. I'm waiting for the same scan as you and OH's sperm analysis. We have our follow up on jan 30th and like you i will ask more questions then!

Keep your chin up hun and try not to worry too much (hard i know) about the IUI. Foces on your scan first. I'm here to chat if you need too xxx
