1st clomid cycle

Hi all,

I’ve not posted on here for a while as I’d given up all hope and got really down. But I have started my 1st clomid cycle this month and wondered if anyone had the same symptoms as me?
Whilst taking the clomid cd2-6 50mg I was so emotional but that’s eased off now. I had quite a bit of Ewcm and then a lot of pain!!!! Doubled over kinda pain like a brusisinf sensationin my uterus that lasted only a few minutes so I assumed that was ovulation which was cd17. I’m now on cd21 and I’m still getting Ewcm! Is this normal? Have I actually not obulated yet? I’m still bding every other day just incase.

I’m not being monitored with scans or blood tests so it’s all guess work for me as ovulation tests have never worked in the past so I have up with those!

Baby dust to all on here! The fertility journey is possibly the hardest thing to go through and it can be really lonely so forums like this really help’

I dont really know the answers to your questions but i just started my first round of clomid today so i thought id say hi and good luck! I had a gynae appointment yesterday and i was only expecting test results and maybe a referal to a fertility specialist, but she gave me a prescription for clomid and as luck would have it is just started my period, which meant i could start the clomid today! My cycles are usually super long so i feel like its a sign.

What dosage are you on? Im taking 100mg from CD 2-6 and im not being monitored with scans, just a 21 day blood test. I do temp though, which gives me a good indication of when ive ovulated.

Thanks so much for replying! I’ve taken 50mg cd2-6 and I’m now on cd25! My cycles are also really long I have mild PCOS. My symptoms whilsts takig the clomid were just extreme mood swings from very happy to crying uncontrollably! Now nothing really I had what I thought was ovulation pain at cd17 but I’ve done some opks yesterday and today and both positive so I’m super confused and really wish I’d temped or at least had 21 day bloods done but that wasn’t offered to me! It was literally here are the pills take them haha! We’ve bd’d pretty much every other day which has proven really hard as it just feels so forced for us both it’s actually really difficult on our relationship but hey ho here we are hoping to be in the tww in the next few days! Which means it will be another long cycle but I’ve read that’s common on clomid?!?

Did you notice any changes to your flow? I usually get very heavy periods for the first two days, then it’s light for a few, but today I’m on CD 3 and my second full dose of clomid, and I honestly think this is the heaviest period I’ve ever had. I would normally have slowed down by now but it’s getting worse not better. Not sure if I can manage another day at work like I had today!

Really hope it calms down soon, but I’ve read that it can be a side effect!
