We flew back from lanzarote yesterday little one has been fine and today he went to nursery came home with juicy chicken pox on him.

The nursery did warn before we went away that it was going round but Max hasn't been ill or shown any signs so we figured he had missed it - not the case

I'm 14 weeks pregnant but doc said it's fine as I've had it 6 times before so no worries but I'm just wondering is Max likely to get poorly now or would he already have been abit poorly if he was going to be?

My LO had it at 13months and was absolutely fine until the spots really started to come out as they tend to come out in waves. Both my boys had it within 3 weeks of each other and probably had their worse day about 4/5 days after the spots appeared. They were just tired and a little grumpy but nothing to bad. We were lucky neither of them really scratched their spots, I think it's when the spots are really itchy and sore that's the worst time. I hope he copes ok x

Ahh ok that's good to know I was thinking maybe he would have been ill already but I suppose it makes sense when the spots are annoying them

Going to get some oats tomorrow for oat bath and some calamine lotion poor little mite he has a real nasty one on his groin

My older 2 have had them and it was a couple days before spots came out that they felt rotten (temp, grumpy). Then when spots emerged i realised why. Both mine never really itched much, doctor told me to give them kids piriton for itching but not sure what age you can give that from, mine were a bit older when they got it. Hope he doesnt get it too bad x

Well he has a lot more today coming on his face and in his hair

We just gave him an oatmeal bath with some bi carb in and used viro sooth as it came highly reccomended from friends, given him some piriton syrup too so hopefully he's feeling fresher
He's not seeming to be bothered just yet
