16 week apt :)

Aww had my 16 wk apt with midwife today, got to hear the heartbeat which was amazing, as soon as she put the dongle thingy on my tummy there it was blasting out really loud and strong, both me and oh had tears we were so emotional!!!!! I'm really glad she didn't struggle to find it think I'd have been in a blind panic!!! Bizarrely tho got given a book and dvd on breast feeding?! Feels a bit soon to be thinking about that!!!

Aww how lovely! I have mine on Thursday. Not really sure what to expect?? Feels like ive been waiting for it to come round forever!! Glad everything was ok though xx

Awh wow! That's amazing. I just thought the 16 wk appointment would be more bloods and information, looking forward to hearing the heart beat now! I have mine next week xxxx

Mine didn't listen to the heartbeat unfortunately, said they are not allowed anymore. Really thinking of getting the monitor even for a week

Oh that's a shame yours didn't do it? I thought they all did at the 16wk apt? I didn't even have bloods it was just a quick check of my notes, test my urine and then onto the bed to hear the heartbeat, then we had a chat about my morning sickness and she gave me the breastfeeding dvd and leaflet??? then that was it and my next apt is at 24 wks!!!!

I hope i get to listen to the little ones heartbeat. Seems like ages to go from 12 to 20 weeks without having a nosey! Very excited though, should hopefully get my 20 week scan date after ive been xx

Ooh I hope you get to hear it too its the best sound in the world!! I totally agree its so nice to have something between scans, everytime I hear or see the baby it makes it a Teeny bit more real!! Particularly for my oh, I'm sure somedays he thinks its just 4 months of trapped wind and there isn't really a baby lol!!!

Lol i think its the same for my OH too, especially with all the morning sickness. Im sure half the time he thinks im putting it on. I think hearing the heatbeat will give me a little lift, been feeling abit fed up at min. Clothes not fitting anymore etc, its been quite frustrating with this warm weather finding something to wear and being on my feet all day at work. But like I said im sure Thursday will cheer me up xx
