Just had to ring hospital for my 12 week screening results...
they said they were ready but I'd have to ring back later today or Monday :/
she wouldn't tell me what it was over the phone now I'm panicking..
all measurements on the scan were normal but baby kept sticking out its tongue which sonographer said she'd never seen before!
stupidly googled it and some people are under the impression it's a sign of downs, obviously I'd love my baby whatever happened and being a special needs mum would be an adjustment I'd make it's just the waiting why wouldn't they tell me :/
Has anyone else had this? Could t be something simple?

I've never heard of you having to call them. They called us to arrange an appointment. We got in the same day they rang as I was very insistent.
As hard as it is wait and see what they day and then you can go from there x

I've never heard of you having to call the hospital. I just thought they sent the results in the post or they call you if you are high risk .

Yes they're supposed to but they said if I don't hear back after 10 days to call... going to try ringing again in a moment. My mum is a midwife she just said they can't give results over the phone before 2pm? Maybe that's it... either way it's cruel of her to leave me worrying like that

I got mine through the post. That's weird. I wouldn't worry to much though everywhere is different.
For any other results I have to ring after 2pm which seems to be the same everywhere x

I rang back, they said to call monday? I've always had the results through the post this is so strange....
The only difference this time is i haven't seen a midwife :/ maybe that's why they have a stick up their bums?

I wouldn't read too much into it. They told me they'd call if there was a high risk otherwise about two weeks in the post. Same with dd. I waited longer than that this time though. If they aren't calling you asap then it's probably nothing xx

Well mine never arrived by post or call. I only found out there were small risk at me 16 week MW appointment. Soif you feel like calling them you should x

I think it's probably nothing, my mum also said if it was anything they would call me sooner rather than later and all measurements on the scan were perfect so I'm not too worried, guess it was just sent late or something

The measurements on my scan were fine but it was my blood results thstbthrew me into the high risk category x

have requested a call from the home birth midwife too... am very apprehensive but I have explained my situation and hopefully they'll be helpful rather than forceful because it definitely gives the opposite effect!
:shock::|

I hope that works out for you. If you explain how you feel and past experiences I'm sure they'll absolutely take it all into account to ease your anxiety. And I really hope you get a positive homebirth this time xx

Thank you shanivy

I've been met with lots of negativity so far which hasn't helped, hopefully that will change
she's coming out to see me at work Friday as a day off would be ludicrous! Hahah

Definitely update on how it goes. Mine so far has been positive with the home birth stuff. That's great she is actually coming out to your work though to meet you, I'd take that as a positive sign. They hopefully will understand that obviously you, more than any one, want a safe healthy delivery, but that your past experiences have left you so anxious. Hard to forget that kind of thing. I have my fx for you hun xx
