Hi Everyone,

This is my first post. I went to the out of hours surgery last night due to blood in my vomit, the Dr told me not to worry about it at this stage. He gave me an abdominal exam and explained that he could feel my womb which is unusual at 10 wks and asked if I'm sure about my dates, then suggested that i could possibly be further on than I think or having more than one baby. There is also the possibility that it was not my womb the Dr could feel, lol. Has anyone ever had this experience, I'm not worried just a little curious.

Oh, and congratulations to everyone, it's such an exciting time.

Thanks
Nicola

Don't have any experience with what you mentioned but want to say welcome to the forum and congratulations on your pregnancy!!

My sis had the same thing last week MW said her woumb measured approx 16 wks or multipul babies!! she also could feel the baby moving. My sis had a scan to check and she was only 11 weeks, they have put it down to big baby and very skinny mummy

 Congratulations on your pregnancy!

I don't have any advice for you - do you think your dates wrong? Maybe you should try and get an early scan to confirm things??

Thanks ladies for all your replies.

Big baby, skinny little mummy, ouch!
I won't be getting a scan untill I'm at least 14 weeks, it seems to be usual in Glasgow to wait a little longer than 12 weeks.

I'm in Glasgow too and I was told my scan would be anything between 14 - 17 weeks  I'm not waiting that long & I am going to get a private scan - more for reassurance than anything else. x

14 weeks is the minimum i'll have to wait, it is nerve wracking especially as this is my first time and don't really know what to expect.

Your right though louxlouxbellex, I don't think I'll feel totally happy until I get the reassurance that comes from the scan. Where can you get private scans in Glasgow and are they expensive. x
