Hi,

It´s been a whole year since me and my OH started ttc after i got my Implant out in August last year and it still hasn´t happened :( should it be time to go and speak to my doctor?

As doctors say it can take up to 6 months for the affect of the implnt to wear of would that mean i have to wait another 6 months before i could go to the doctors??

Also can the Implant cos infertilty?? as when i was pregnant before (thou had a miscarriage) it onlyk took me a month to get pregnant then

Please help!!!!!!! :)

I am unsure how long it should take for the implant to leave. i wasnt taking any contrception before trying and its been 14 months for me! My doctor says they wait for a year and a half now before testing as it can take that long.
Hopefully someone on here knows more about the implant and can offer you some advise xx

Hiyaaa, i dont really know alot so dont quote me on this, someone i used to work with "recons" she became infertile from hers, but it says it doesnt and people wouldnt have it if it did..so try not to worry so much and relax! you can go to your docs anytime and ask for advice, if your getting down about it i would, ive been having unpretected sex for for just under 2 years and only in the last 7-9 months been ttc, although my doc is doing tests on me. I dont know alot about the implant so i cant help u there! just i know it takes time and is different for everyone!
All i can suggest is relax and try not to worry.. xxx

Hi wee emms. I'd go and speak to your GP just to let him/her know of your plans/concerns and find out what the correct process is. I know it must be hard, but try not to worry. If it takes 6 months for implant to stop affecting you, then you could think of it as you've only been trying since March. I know its tough, I'm only on month one and already am a stress head! Wishing you lots of luck.

Laura x

PS - where abouts in glasgow are you?
