1 week to go and not feeling well

Hi everyone
I need some advice. Last week I went to sign all my consent forms for my section on 5th March( week on Monday) feeling ok. By Tuesday I had sore throat, cold and cough. Since then it has got worse and I feel so ill.There are no signs of it going and I don't know what to do. I am thinking of going to see if the doctor can give me anything to treat my cough as I can't imagine having this after a c-section. Also I am not sure they will do it if I still have this.
What do you all think-maybe some of you have had the same experience. I can't believe this has happenened so close to our little man arriving-i don't want to wait any longer tham I really have to to meet him.

you should feel better by 5th March
an epidural or spinal block 4 c-section wont be affected by your cold so they should still go ahead with it but if your havin a general anasetic, i think you have to be 100% well.
you should call ur MW just to get some advice

sounds like the flu i had.

The pharmascisit said i could have honey, lemon and glycerine but i couldn't keep it down. Hopefull you will feel better soon. get plenty rest

Dont really have any suggestions but rest as much as possible, fingers crossed you get better before your section.

I agree with cloud9

Its not so important for a spinal anaesthetic that your health is 100% ok, thats why lots of old folk have ops under local!

Hi everyone,
Thamks for the reply-ended up going to the doctors. I have got a chest infection so had to have antbiotics. Dr said they won't deliver our little man if my chest isn't clear in case they have to give me a general.
Anyway am feeling a little better today so hopefully I will be clear by Monday.

If you are having C section with a spinal, it might not matter that you arent very well ( if you know what i mean) I think it might be general anaesthetics where they worry about stuff like that.
