was in hospital for 5 hours yesterday as went for midwife appointment at 12 and my iron levels have gone back up which is the gud thing

But my liver is not functioniong so every week now ive got to be checked over by and to see if the baby is ok,i was hooked onto a
baby monitor to check his heartbeat hes fine thank god. there was nothing in my urine although the colour was orange lol.
ive got to have more blood tests but i have defiantly got something called oc where ive been itching so much.
its something in my blood,basically my liver is like this because baby is getting bigger so it has to work harder to take out the
waste that collects in my blood and with baby producing waste that something is happening to my liver
im being closely monitored now incase they have to induce me early, I so wasnt expecting this because i thought everything was going ok in this pregnancy now it feels like that all over again something is going to happen. they havent sed when there going to induce me there seeing if they can help get the numbers down on this oc thing to help first. xx

Glad baby's ok and that they're monitoring you closely. There's a sticky at the top of 3rd tri about obstetric cholestasis with some useful links in it. Hope the treatment you're on works well

thanks for all messages. im glad baby is ok to.
what i find really upsetting i thought everthing was ok i believed there was nothing wrong with the itching and even said to hubby that i was ok and now everyone is worried about me incase they cant properly treat it an then my baby will prob have to arrive early and i dont want any complications with the birth or on him, he was a fighter from the start.
I dont want him to be born to early i know there not saying that yet but on monday ive got to go for a scan and some more blood tests.
I dread going to the hospital now to be honest xx

Awwwww Really hope things start to get better for you... I dont really have much advice sorry!! Dont know a lot about it!!! But try and keep smiling, the Dr's & MW will do everything possible to keep you safe!!!

Sorry to hear you had a bad day, but on the plus side they didn't keep you in so that must be a good thing and they know what it is, can help and are monitering you, try not to worry hun i'm sure everything will be ok. As far as I know they wouldn't normally induce you until 37/38 weeks unless they really needed to. Just get plenty of rest and do everything you've been advised to. Hope you're feeling a bit better x

They didnt keep me in because i didnt want to and said id prefer to go home. Because they do nothing on a sunday not even scans or anything so there was no point in me even staying and the only thing they check is my blood etc which im going back in for on monday. If it gets to the point where i have to stay in because theyve gone up really high then i will do so but they said they dont see a reason in me going home lol.
Im fed up of the itching now the periton is making me so sleepy i hate it but i know ive got to take it.
I get the results tomorrow and crapping myself incase its still the same or its increased because they said if they were to intervene it would be about 34-37 weeks but to me that now feels like i wont be able to go the full way in this pregnancy and what if hes not fully formed by now eek sorry im freaking out i just hate hospitals an there starting to do my head in but i cant believe i got something wrong with me x

Thought itching was to do with liver function but didn't want to scare you. Glad they are on to it though hun. I know its worrying but even if babe were to be born over next few weeks i'm sure he will be fine with a little help. Try and stay positive and as calm as possible, they will take good care of you both. Sending hugs your way xxxx

I thought the itching was normal in pregnancy because people kept saying theres wasnt as bad as mine but i thought i was normal lol.
I cant believe its not that rare these days although its something new thats not long come out apperntly but they midwifes look on her face when she said your irons well but the reason why uve been itching so much is because you have something called OC but before she said that i knew something was it i actually cried i know im silly for crying i just couldnt help it. hope something comes up good on me blood results tomorrow because theyve tested my bile levels and i get me results so im praying to god something is workign for me although itching has quite stopped yet but hoping it wil go down soon x

it wakes me up in the night really bad i woke up at 5 the other morning had me breakfast had some piriton before i went back to sleep at 6 in the morning lol some how nodded off the itching goes on and off during the day more on the legs and feet than hands sometimes on tummy to x

just got a call from the hospital and got to be there for half 9 this morning so the last blood test from the other day would of come back. and ive got to have more taken out of me today
