X-Ray and Pregnancy

Hi there did not know where to post this but if anyone has advice i would be greatful, A friend of mine has just found out she is Pregnant but she had an x-ray on her knee a week b4 she found out and i;m a bit worried can it affect the baby in anyway?, she went to the doctors but did not tell them about the xray, just a little concerned for her.

They would have taken precautions I am sure, but tbh, there is little anyone can do now the Xrays have been taken.

There is a risk with xrays in pregnancy, but I'd think if your friend is concerned she needs to talk to her MW or GP about it and hear about things from a professional. I'd not like to say one way or the other what possible things might occur from an xray.

I know it was a long time ago but my mum was given an x-ray while she was 40wks pregnant with me (30 years ago) and I am fine...so far!
