My 16 month old lg is suddenly dropping to sleep. Since 3 months old she has refused to sleep anywhere but her cot or car seat on long journeys.

She has been I'll recently with a cold but she's had worse In the past.
She got diagnosed with discoid eczema yesterday and now in steroid cream.

But she's the most active toddler, she's normally naps around 12-2. Bit two days ago she fell asleep in a shopping trolley while I was talking to her.
Today she fell asleep in her pram while playing with a toy around the store.

This is so out of character for her!

She's on antibiotics for an ear infection from the cold.

Am I over worrying?!? It's just so strange for her. She's been really I'll in the past and still kept walking around!

Didn't want to read and run hun xx I wouldn't be too worried yet, my lb is 2 and a half and sometimes he could just fall asleep mid lunch I think they just wear themselves out some days more than others like your lo he naps 12 to 2 most days xx the antibiotic could be making her a little drowsy too xx I'd just wait and see how she is when it's finished and if you are still concerned ask your gp xx

hi, theres a possibility shes just exhausted for not being so well.. but my advice to you is seek medical attention if your really worried. you know your child better than anyone its always better to be safe than sorry..
sorry i couldnt be of more help. hope she feels better soon! x

Thanks guys, I'm in two minds all the time as she's been In and out of doctors so much lately with colds, ear infections and coughs.

She had a febrile convulsion the other day because her temp got so high.
Maybe it's just the colds, medication etc.

I've just got a really weird feeling :( it's horrible they must think I'm a nut at the doctors lol x x.

If your worried then take her to the Drs. I will say that maybe she's still recovering from her febrile convulsion. My friend LO who had them used to take a week or 2 to get back to normal and would sleep a lot more in that time because she was recovering from being ill and having the convulsion. I hope she's ok x
