hi all I’m about 5-6 weeks pregnant now, and awaiting my first midwife appointment and scan. However I’m constantly worrying about miscarriage :( it’s actually stressing me out so much right now. How much did you all worry about it? When would you actually see anyone about how much it’s effecting you? Every little niggle I’m getting I’m panicking which surely can’t be great for the baby if it’s still there! :?

Congratulations on your pregnancy!

Worrying about miscarriage is normal unfortunately I think most women worry over it. This is my 3rd pregnancy as the previous 2 did end in miscarriage so I know the thoughts are very upsetting and consuming. Alls you can really do is remember that aches and pains are very very normal in pregnancy. I’d book an early scan to ease your mind and be pleased that every day that passes your pregnancy progresses xxx

It’s normal to worry about a miscarriage but if it’s effecting you because that’s all you can think about then you should maybe talk to someone. It’s not healthy for you or your baby.
Unfortunately there is nothing you can do if you do miscarry, if it’s going to happen you can’t stop it hun so you should just enjoy being pregnant.

I am 8 wks +3 and worry most days. I had a scan on Thur and saw my baby which is our wee miracle. We had a MC after ivf 1st time around. In trying to be positive and hope our baby keeps growing but yeah it's very hard x

It seems like such a long wait, my first midwife appointment isn’t till the 15th of August and the first scan isn’t till the 6th of September it seems like a lifetime away to be semi reassured

You can always book a private scan if you don’t want to wait until your nhs one.
